Shani Manor is a private four-bedroom heritage villa in Hikkaduwa. Its character comes from its original construction, generous proportions and the atmosphere of an old Sri Lankan home.

HISTORY OF SHANI MANOR

Built in 1927.

Shani Manor carries the physical character of an earlier Sri Lanka. The original house was constructed using clay, metal, cabook (laterite stone) and lime.

Its approximately 18-inch-thick walls and traditional materials give the property a sense of permanence that is difficult to reproduce today.

The roof tiles were imported from the United Kingdom, adding another chapter to the story of this remarkable coastal home.
